A delegation of the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), led by Mr. Douglas Deeth, president of FICPI, visited SIPO and ACPAA on November 28, 2016.
In the morning of November 28, the FICPI delegation had a meeting with SIPO and have a discussion about some heated IP related issues in the international dimension. Mr. He Hua, vice-commissioner of SIPO, met FICPI delegation and shared some information about patent examination in China with the delegates.
In the afternoon, the FICPI delegation and ACPAA jointly organized the “FICPI-ACPAA Intellectual Property Seminar”. Members of FICPI delegation presented the following subjects: Drafting patents for infringement, amendment, clarity, priority and inventive step/non-obviousness at the EPO, IP Infringement of tomorrow and Ethics and conflicts. About 60 patent attorneys attended the seminar.
